چکیده
Context. A flare-driven quasi-periodic extreme ultraviolet wave train totally reflected at a coronal hole boundary was well imaged on both temporal and spatial scales by AIA/SDO. Aims. We aim to investigate the driving mechanisms of demonstrate total reflection effect boundary. Methods. The speeds incident trains are studied. periodic correlation with related flare is probed. compare measured incidence angle estimated critical angle. Results. find that periods about 100 s. excitation possibly due intermittent energy release in associated since its period similar pulsations flare. Our observational results show because angles satisfy theory reflection: smaller than

Topologically driven coronal dynamics – a mechanism for coronal hole jets
Bald patches are magnetic topologies in which the magnetic field is concave up over part of a photospheric polarity inversion line. A bald patch topology is believed to be the essential ingredient for filament channels and is often found in extrapolations of the observed photospheric field. Using an analytic source-surface model to calculate the magnetic topology of a small bipolar region embed...
متن کاملThe Extreme-ultraviolet Continuum of a Strong Stellar Flare
We present the serendipitous detection of an extreme-ultraviolet flare on EUVE J0613 23.9B. The flare showed over a 200-fold increase above the quiescent emission in the DS/Lexan 60–200 Å wavelength band. Optical spectroscopy revealed that the event was associated with an active dM3.5e star. The EUVE spectra are dominated by emission lines formed at temperatures in excess of 10 K. The observati...
متن کاملNetwork oscillations at the boundary of an equatorial coronal hole
Aims. We investigate intensity oscillations observed simultaneously in the quiet chromosphere and in the corona, above an enhanced network area at the boundary of an equatorial coronal hole. Methods. A Fourier analysis is applied to a sequence of images observed in the 171 Å and 1600 Å passbands of TRACE. Four interesting features above the magnetic network are further investigated by using a w...
متن کاملTomographic reflection modelling of quasi - periodic oscillations in the black hole binary H 1743 – 322
Accreting stellar mass black holes (BHs) routinely exhibit Type-C quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs). These are often interpreted as Lense-Thirring precession of the inner accretion flow, a relativistic effect whereby the spin of the BH distorts the surrounding space-time, inducing nodal precession. The best evidence for the precession model is the recent discovery, using a long joint XMM-Newto...
متن کاملAt-wavelength, system-level flare characterization of extreme-ultraviolet optical systems.
The extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) phase-shifting point-diffraction interferometer (PS/PDI) has recently been developed to provide high-accuracy wave-front characterization critical to the development of EUV lithography systems. Here we describe an enhanced implementation of the PS/PDI that significantly extends its measurement bandwidth. The enhanced PS/PDI is capable of simultaneously characterizi...
